Synopsis
Sharpe's Triumph begins seeing Richard Sharpe as the only survivor of a massacre of British Troops by Major William Dodd commanding troops from The Scindian army commanded by Colonel Anthony Pohlmann.
He subsequently attacked to Colonel McCandless, to identify and assist in the tracking down of Major Dodd.
He is present at the assault on Ahmednuggur when Dodd escapes, and goes with Colonel Mcandless into the Scindia army as an envoy. Colonel Polhmann offers him a commission, but he is forced to stay with McCandells after Major Dodd attempts to kill him.
It is only as Sir Arthur Wellesley closes with the Scindia army In Battle and Sergeant Richard Sharpe ends up close to the Duke that fate hands him his opportunity.
