Synopsis

Sharpe's Fury starts with Captain Richard Sharpe on detached duty from the South Essex under the orders of Brigadier Moon, a 'young thruster' and army officer with little time for rivals like Captain Sharpe.

After initial success their mission to blow up a bridge goes wrong and both officers are trapped on a pontoon raft drifting down river. Things go from bad to worse with both Moon and Sharpe getting injured in turn.

The officers and men are rescued by a Royal Navy Frigate and are ferried to the besieged city of Cadiz, where Moon seeks to Make trouble for Sharpe, before realising Captain Richard Sharpe is among friends with both Lord Phumphrey and the Ambassador.

Of course no favors come without strings and our hero Sharpe is required for some dirty work around Cadiz, there is a slight matter of an affair to cover up, a scandal to be avoided, the french to deceived, a woman to be rescued and the spanish to be placated. All in a days work of our Captain Sharpe.
