Character and Story
Rifleman Daniel Hagman is the well known for being the best shot of both the riflemen with Sharpe and the best shot of the Men in the light company. He is also the oldest of the riflemen stranded in spain with Richard Sharpe. Dan was offered the options of the army or prison when he was caught poaching in his native cheshire, and unsurprisingly he ended up in the 95th rifles.
He was promoted to chosen man the Rifles equivalent of corporal. He is also probably the most familiar with Richard Sharpe apart from Patrick Harper and can often be seen offering advice or opinion or passing comment to an Sharpe, who as an officer would not usually be expected to be that informal with common soldiers.
